Sidenotes: King Mickey is the King of Disney Castle, and the "King" Donald and Goofy refer to rather often. In the past, he worked for Pete on his steamboat.

Recruitment: During certain boss battles, if Sora dies, you get taken to a different screen than usual, which is white and has an "I won't give up!" option. This allows you to fight the boss as King Mickey, but you can't kill the boss like this. Use the square button to use King Mickey's special attack, or whack away with the Keyblade as usual. When the boss is stunned, button-mash the triangle button to charge up the Drive gauge. When it is full, press triangle again for King Mickey to use Healing Light, which fully restores the HP of everyone in Sora's party. Now, you can continue the battle as Sora.
