Chie is one of the first people you meet on your first day of school in Inaba. She is Yukiko's best friend and polar opposite. Where Yukiko is quiet, introverted, and very feminine, Chie is loud, extroverted, and very much a tomboy. She loves meat (especially steak) and kung fu movies. When confronted by her Shadow, Chie's hidden jealousy of Yukiko is revealed, however after accepting her lesser half it is quite obvious that despite this jealousy she cares about Yukiko very much and would do anything to protect her. Chie is the fourth person to join the Investigation Team, but the third to join the actual fighting party. After this, Chie is determined to overcome her Shadow's feelings and become a better person, one that everyone can rely on. This also causes her friendship with Yukiko to become even stronger.
