Background: He and Kamidake are Jurain royal guards/knights, specifically Aeka's guards while she's travelling. In Tenchi Muyou! TV (Tenchi Universe, for you ammies), they go into their human modes starting from the episode "No Need for Knights." They don't go into human mode in the game, though...
