Background: In the Tenchi Muyou! Ryo Oki universe (which is what this game is based off of), Ryoko is the demon imprisoned within the Masaki Shrine. Fun, no? She was released by Tenchi when his curiosity got the better of him. She was created by Washu by merging Washu's own DNA with a creature called simply "Mass." This merging is what gave her most of her powers, and why Washu refers to her as her daughter. Minagi, Ryoko's "daughter," was created in about the same way, cept using Ryoko's DNA (without her consent). Minagi, however, only exists in the official Tenchi manga, named Shin Tenchi Muyou! (New No Need For Tenchi!). Ryoko and Aeka constantly fight over Tenchi.
