The main character of Chrono Cross. Uncomplicated, good-hearted, and a generally nice guy. His father disappeared under mysterious circumstances. He lives with his mother Marge in the quiet, small, sequestered fishing village of Arni. It is later learned that his father Wazuki was turned into Lynx by FATE, thus becoming the human version of FATE, mixed with what Serge feared most (a panther demon).

One day, after collecting komodo dragon scales for his self-proclaimed "girlfriend" Leena, they meet up on Opassa Beach, and Serge hears a call from across the dimensions, which leads him to be transported to that other dimension. And that is where this adventure begins.
