It recounts the story of when the Charr (cat-like beings) destroyed Ascalon. You even get to be there while it happens, as the game starts you off in pre-disaster Ascalon. With many professions to choose from (you can choose up to two per character), and even more looks to customize, this game is what finally convinced me to play an online RPG. After the destruction of Ascalon, the people try desperately to piece their lives back together, led by the brave Prince Rurik. Jump into the fray, and see what the land of Tyria has in store for you.
