Sidenotes: When Simba was a very young cub, his uncle Scar lured him into a canyon, saying that Simba's father Mufasa had a surprise for him. Scar's henchmen, a group of three hyenas, scare a large herd of wildebeast into stampeding towards Simba, who quickly climbed a tree, but had trouble staying in the branches. Scar alerted Mufasa to his son's predicament, and Mufasa managed to toss Simba to safety, but ended up being carried to another section of the canyon by the stampede. He climbed up the sheer cliff face and managed to reach a platform that his brother Scar was on with his front paws, but had been weakened by the ordeal, so asked his brother for help. Scar, however, dug his claws into Mufasa's paws, then knocked him dooooooooown into the depths of the canyon. If the fall didn't kill him, the rest of the stampede would finish the job. Simba saw the end of Mufasa's fall, and rushed over after the stampede finished, but his father would not wake up. Scar wandered up to him and told him that Mufasa's death was Simba's fault, so Simba ran off into the wilderness to try to escape his shame and guilt. There, he met Timon and Pumba, and grew up under their guidance. Meanwhile, Scar took over as King, since Mufasa was dead, and his heir Simba was "dead" as well (or so Scar told everyone). Simba was first seen as a Summons in Kingdom Hearts.

Recruitment: He joins after you find him in the Oasis and he realizes he must return to the Pride Lands and take his rightful place as King.
