Keep . : Shades of Silence : . free!

Only come here if you want the next section to be super-easy. If not, then ignore this first section, since I'm repeating it on the next page anyway. If you're going to use Chester, you should have him equipped with a Wave Spread.

<- I hate those guys... ^>__<^! Enter, and head right and down for a ?Book (Seventh Sun) and a Moon Crystal. In the room at the top left is a Basilisk Scale and a ?Armor (Reflect Plate, but the Rare Plate is still better). Stay around here for a bit, cause the Kary's drop Salamander Rings, which, when transformed with a Rune Bottle, turn into Nymph's Rings (immunity to heat)! Get at least three of these before moving on, (you can give Klarth the Garnet Ring while you hunt for more Salamander Rings). You can rest at the Olive Village Inn, if you need to.

While you're there, a good way to get some g is by talking to the guy in between the Item shop and the other house, buy a bunch of eggs for 80g, then sell em next door for 3140g each! Now, repeat the process. Lots n lots of g! Woo!

Anyway... Pull both switches in this area to open the middle doors. Go through and up to the second floor. Stay around this area until you get at least one more Salamander's Ring (you should get two, though, and equip them even on the character you're not using, if not they'll be dead in two seconds. You'll see why soon enough). After equipping all your party members with the Nymph's Rings, go north, then take the south-east passage for two Mixed Gummies. Go back, then left and up for an Anhk Shield and a Flame Mantle. All the way south is a Verbena. Go up the stairs (they're in front of the stairs leading down to the floor you just came from). Go north, then west south and west for a Life Bottle and a Shield Ring. From there, head north for a ?Helm (Paladin Helm). Head south, right and south, then take the south passage. Go up the stairs. Go right for two Veals and a Holy Bottle, then go back and up the stairs to the north. Keep going up two more flights, and you'll get the Explode Spell for Arche (yes, that one that keeps getting cast onya).

By this time you should have at least four more Salamander's Rings. Don't change them into Nymph's Rings, though, cause you'll need em. Leave the Tower, for now. (south down the stairs, south to the next floor, south to next floor, south to the next floor, right and north, right and down the stairs, south through the big passage and down the stairs, south, and south).

Head north to the snowy wastes, and wander around a bit if you wish. You might get that ?Weapon I was talking about earlier. Enter the Inn, and talk to the swordsman in the last room on the left to get Lion Flare for 33000g.

Approach the Church of Fenrir (in the northern part of the town), and get threatened with your life! After Arche breaks down the door (...), enter and stuff. Go north, and the guardian of the Vorpal Sword appears. Go around the table and continue north.

Hey, look, it's snowing inside! *ahem* OK, go ---------> that way. Yeah. Use the SP, then go down the stairs. Alright, you might want to have your characters equipped with Aqua Mantles (use a Rune Bottle on a Flame Mantle) and have Klarth with the Aquamarine Ring. Also, equip all yer fire skills. Go left and up to get a ?Helm (Paladin Helm, which isn't better than the Rare Helm, by the way...). Equip the Sorcerer's Ring for a sec, thaw out the switch in the back, then flip the switch (and I don't care if it's hot, ya big wuss). Go right now, then through the door in the back.

Follow the path, then light ALL the freaking candles (yes, there are more than two). Go south to get the ?Armor (another Star Cloak), then go down the stairs. Use the Sorcerer's Ring on the statue, then move the statue into the doorway on the left. Light the candles on the right, then go down the stairs. Go west offscreen.

Go south from here to find an Armlet, then go left, then south for a Charm Bottle. Go north, left, and left for the Tidal Wave Spell for Arche (turn it the heck off!!). Go right, then up for a Black Onyx, then left for a Silver Cape. Right, up, and right from there is an Aqua Mantle. Go north, right, and right for a ?Book (Ex Mortis), then left and north for a Silver Plate. Go south and all the way left for a Shield Ring. Right and up, then down the stairs is the way outta this insanity area.

The left-most door here contains an Ankh Shield. The door next to that has a ?Helm (Star Cap, and it's blocking your way forwards). Go through the next door, then go right. In this area, go right, down, and around, and pull the lever. Exit this area to the right. Go down both sets of stairs, then go left and through the door. Pull the lever, then go through the door in front of you. Go right offscreen, then up through the door for a ?Bow (Gale Spread) and Cute Mittens. (...) Go back, and enter the left door. Step on the switch, then go back and cross the ice and go up the stairs (hey, haven't we been here before?). Exit through the door, and enter the door right next to it. Go back to the lever, pull it, then exit right. Cross the ice and go north. Heal and save at the SP, then go north.

Boss: FangWolf
HP: 30,000
Attacks: some claw attack, and howling, which brings in snow...
Recommended level: 57

Argh! Nothing works but Fire Spells!! Oh yeah, and, of course, Maxwell. Muahaha. Just put everyone on automatic. Magma Rift works really well, but you have to be REALLY close to FangWolf for it to hit him (BAD IDEA!). He's got a claw attack that can kill you pretty easily. If this happens, don't wait for Mint to do Raise Dead, just use a freaking Life Bottle!! If Klarth has the Aquamarine Ring, FangWolf's attacks will heal him. Just keep hitting him hard. I put Cless with FireBrand and CinderHawk...

*Note: If you got the Salamander's Rings in Odin's Tower earlier, equip them for this fight. None of his attacks hurt you (cept physicals)! Whee! (but where's the challenge in that??) Meh. Also, use Explode a lot, and FangWolf won't stand a chance. At all. Oh, and if you're using Chester, equip him with a Flare Spread.

You get the Vorpal Sword after the battle, and you are taught Soul Edge. To get out of here, head south, south, left across the ice, left some more, south through the door and up the stairs, left and south, south right south right right, south and right and up the stairs, through the door left down right and up the stairs, up left and up the stairs, left and south, south and right, right all the way (minus one area), south twice, right, south and right, up the stairs, left, south, right, north, noooooorth (get me the heck out of here already!!), left, north up the stairs, left and south, south and left, north up some more stairs, then left and south and holy crap we can finally leave.
