Fly to Freland, and land near the volcano-looking thing (around where Ifrit's Cave is).
If you came here before fighting FangWolf, skip down to the paragraph that starts with "Take the northern door..." If you're going to use Chester, you
should have him equipped with a Wave Spread.
<- I hate those guys... ^>__<^! Enter, and head right and down for a ?Book (Seventh Sun) and a Moon Crystal. In the room at the top
left is a Basilisk Scale and a ?Armor (Reflect Plate, but the Rare Plate is still better). Stay around here for a bit, cause the Kary's drop Salamander
Rings, which, when transformed with a Rune Bottle, turn into Nymph's Rings (immunity to heat)! Get at least three of these before moving on, (you can give
Klarth the Garnet Ring while you hunt for more Salamander Rings). You can rest at the Olive Village Inn, if you need to.
While you're there, a good way to get some g is by talking to the guy in between the Item shop and the other house, buy a bunch of eggs for 80g,
then sell em next door for 3140g each! Now, repeat the process. Lots n lots of g! Woo!
Anyway... Pull both switches in this area to open the middle doors. Go through and up to the second floor. Stay around this area until you get at least
one more Salamander's Ring (you should get two, though, and equip them even on the character you're not using, if not they'll be dead in two seconds. You'll
see why soon enough). After equipping all your party members with the Nymph's Rings, go north, then take the south-east passage for two Mixed Gummies. Go
back, then left and up for an Anhk Shield and a Flame Mantle. All the way south is a Verbena. Go up the stairs (they're in front of the stairs leading down
to the floor you just came from). Go north, then west south and west for a Life Bottle and a Shield Ring. From there, head north for a ?Helm (Paladin Helm).
Head south, right and south, then take the south passage. Go up the stairs. Go right for two Veals and a Holy Bottle, then go back and up the stairs to the
north. Keep going up two more flights, and you'll get the Explode Spell for Arche (yes, that one that keeps getting cast onya). Now, return to the first
floor (south down the stairs, south to the next floor, south to next floor, south to the next floor, right and north, right and down the stairs, south
through the big passage and down the stairs, and south).
Take the northern door on the right and go up the stairs (re-equip those Nymph Rings if you unequipped them). Grab the Reverse Doll, then go left and
down and up the stairs. Go north, then west twice to get a Mental Ring. Flip the lever, then go back, then east twice to get a ?Armor (another Star
Cloak), then flip the lever and go back and through the now-open door.
The first door on your left has a ?Helm (Star Cap). Grab the statue next to the other left door and drag it off the dark brown-coloured
tiles. The door opens. Grab the Shield Ring out of the chest. The door on the right opens the same way. Grab the Cute Mittens, then head
south and left. Drag the statues onto the switches to the south to open the door. Go up the stairs.
Alright, on this floor you have to enter each room and fight off the baddies. After the four (easy) fights, a staircase appears (eh, yeah,
one of the doors is to the south, by the way). Save at the SP, then head north for the boss battle...
Boss: Flambelk
HP: 45,700
TP: 300
Attacks: INDIGNATION, Explode, physicals (all-party)
My current level: 61
Turn off all Fire (duh), Lightning, Shadow, and Light Spells for this battle. Soul Edge works pretty damn well, if
you ask me. So does Tidal Wave. Put Tidal Wave and Maxwell on automatic!! This battle is REALLY hard if you don't have em on automatic... ^O__o^ This
really shouldn't take all that long, though.
OK, now, get outta here! Go south, down the small stairs, left or right and up and down the stairs, south, south, south, up and right, south,
south, and out the door.
