Please note one thing for this version: as I do not trust Americanizations of Japanese-created names, many of the character names in this version will not be the same as in the GameCube version. Considering the MESS Namco made with the character names in the US release of Tales of Phantasia (Cless became a soup ingredient (Cress), Klarth became a jolly old fat man in a red suit (Claus), amoung other things), I don't really trust even official translators anymore. The GameCube version walkthrough on this site was based off of the English release, so the names used there are the English ones (since these walkthroughs are in English I figure most people who read them played the English version). BUT, last I checked, ToS was not released on the PS2 in English, and I'm using the Japanese version anyway, so the Japanese names will be used in this walkthrough (i.e., Raine is Refill in the original, etc.). The first time a character shows up, I will put their names in Japanese (i.e., ロイド for Lloyd) and in English characters (romaji), and in subsequent mentionings they will be in romaji.
